Dubai Water Canal is a 3.2 km man-made waterway, opened in 2016, that runs from Dubai Creek through Business Bay to the Gulf. Walkers, runners and cyclists have 6.4 km of track across both banks. Visit Dubai says it is a public space, open at all times.
The usual way in is the boardwalk near Al Safa Park, where there is parking; the purple Tolerance Bridge, one of five pedestrian bridges, was named in November 2017. The nearest metro is Business Bay on the Red Line.
