Dubai Marina: Metro, Tram, Water Transport and Parking

RTA lists two Red Line stations as interchanges with the Dubai Tram: Sobha Realty (R36) and DMCC (R37). The tram, which runs along Al Sufouh Road and Jumeirah Beach Road through the Marina and JBR, operates 06:00 to 01:00 (next day) Monday to Saturday and 09:00 to 01:00 on Sunday.

On the water, RTA runs four kinds of service from the Marina: the FR2 ferry from Dubai Marina Mall to Bluewaters, the FR4 round trip from Dubai Marina Mall to Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis, the BM1 and BM3 water taxis between Marina stations and Bluewaters, and the on-demand TR8 abra round trip from Marina Mall. Dubai Marina Mall parking is free for the first 3 hours on weekdays and 4 hours at weekends, then AED 20 an hour.

What is the nearest Metro station to Dubai Marina?

RTA lists Sobha Realty (R36) and DMCC (R37) on the Red Line as the stations where you change to the Dubai Tram, which runs through the Marina. Earlier versions of this page named "DAMAC Properties" as a separate station; that is a former name, and RTA's current list uses Sobha Realty and DMCC.

Is Marina Walk free to visit?

No operator publishes an entry charge for it, and none publishes a statement that it is free either. It is unpriced rather than stated free — a distinction this site keeps, because the day somebody introduces a charge no page here has to be corrected.

How do I get from Dubai Marina to JBR?

On foot along Marina Walk to JBR's The Walk, or by Dubai Tram along Jumeirah Beach Road. The tram runs 06:00–01:00 Monday to Saturday and 09:00–01:00 on Sunday.

Can I park overnight at Dubai Marina Mall?

No. The mall's parking is open 24 hours but overnight vehicle parking is not permitted, per the mall's own terms.

Is there a ferry or water taxi in Dubai Marina?

Yes, all run by RTA. The FR2 ferry goes from Dubai Marina Mall to Bluewaters, and FR4 is a round trip from Dubai Marina Mall to Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis. Water taxi BM1 links Marina Promenade, Dubai Marina Mall North, Marina Walk and Marina Terrace; BM3 runs from Dubai Marina Mall South to Bluewaters.
