J1 Beach: what a sunbed costs, and what you get back
Six beach clubs sit on J1 Beach in Jumeirah 1. Three publish a sunbed price, two publish the words “Price Varies”, and one publishes nothing. The rule worth knowing before you book: at Gigi Rigolatto a sunbed is AED 300 every day of the week, but it is fully redeemable on food and drink Monday to Thursday and only 50% redeemable Friday to Sunday. The price does not rise at the weekend. What it buys is halved.

Gigi also publishes its cabanas: AED 4,000 for up to ten guests, on the same redemption rule — all of it back on a weekday, half at the weekend. Sirene states its packages run daily from 10:00, and that the amount applies to food and drink “from Monday to Friday and on Sunday”, which leaves Saturday unmentioned.
The weekend surcharge nobody prints
This is the number to take away, and it is our arithmetic on Gigi’s own published terms rather than a figure the venue states:

A cabana moves the same way and further: AED 4,000 costs nothing net on a Tuesday and AED 2,000 on a Saturday. Nothing on the price list changes between those two days, which is exactly why it is easy to miss — a comparison that only records the headline figure reports the two days as identical.
Hours
All six venues publish the same headline hours on the destination’s site — 10:00 to 02:00, except Gigi, which opens at 12:00. The beach and pool keep shorter hours than the venue around them: Gigi and Sirene run their packages 10:00 until sunset, and African Queen splits its pool and beach into 12:00–20:00 Monday to Thursday and 10:00–20:00 Friday to Sunday. A booking that runs to 02:00 is for the restaurant, not the sunbed.
Sirene publishes the most detail of the six: indoor restaurant 12:30–00:00 daily, pool and beach 10:00 until sunset, and separate closing times for its indoor bar, outdoor bar and terrace. Bâoli publishes a UAE resident offer — 10% off pool, beach and restaurant, Sunday to Thursday, excluding Tuesday evenings.
What the destination does not publish
J1 Beach’s own site carries a page for each venue with hours and, where they exist, package rates. What it does not carry is anything about getting there or getting in: no parking rates, no valet charge, no statement of whether the beach itself is publicly accessible, and no destination-wide opening hours. Those are the three questions a first-time visitor asks, and none of them has a published answer.
Two venues answer the price question with the words “Price Varies”, which is at least honest about there being no fixed rate. A third publishes nothing at all. For those three, the only way to learn what a sunbed costs is to start a booking — and prices quoted for them elsewhere are the quoting site’s own, not the venue’s.
Compared with the rest of the city: beach club day passes across Dubai run from AED 100 to AED 600, and the redemption rule is what decides which is actually cheapest. Getting to Jumeirah 1 costs a taxi starting charge plus any Salik gate on the way.
