Two days in Dubai, ordered by what opens and closes when

Two days let you split Dubai the way its opening hours already split it: the old Creek and Downtown on the first day, the Frame and the coast on the second. The fixed points are published. Burj Khalifa’s cheapest tier stops admitting at 19:00; the Dubai Frame opens at 08:00; Ain Dubai takes its last guests at 20:15 and sells tickets no less than 72 hours ahead. The paid stops come to AED 385 per adult on the operators’ own cheapest tickets.

Day one — the Creek, then Downtown

Day one is our one-day plan unchanged: Al Fahidi from 07:00, the AED 1 abra across the Creek, the Gold and Spice Souks, the Metro to Downtown, then Burj Khalifa booked against its 19:00 last entry for Levels 124 & 125 (AED 189 on the ticket site; Emaar’s own page says from AED 199), and the fountain, free from the promenade every 30 minutes from 18:00 to 23:00. On a Friday, swap the order: Visit Dubai says the Spice Souk is closed during the day.

Day two, morning — the Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame opens at 08:00 every day, weekends and public holidays included, and closes at 21:00. Adults pay AED 50 and children aged 3–12 AED 20. It stands at Gate 4 of Zabeel Park, whose own entry is AED 5; the Frame’s operator does not say whether a Frame ticket covers the park, so ask at the gate. The parks portal names Max as the nearest Metro station, about ten minutes’ walk to the park.

Day two, afternoon — Kite Beach

Kite Beach in Jumeirah is free, needs no reservation and, as a public beach, is open around the clock, per Visit Dubai. Its shops and leisure venues open 10:00 to 22:00, and food stays open to midnight Thursday to Saturday. There is no Metro station nearby — Visit Dubai says buses serve it, so most visitors take a taxi. Dubai Municipality publishes lifeguard cover from sunrise to sunset and a three-flag system with no green flag; the full published set is here.

Day two, evening — JBR and Ain Dubai

Move up the coast to The Beach, JBR. Its own FAQ gives retail and kiosks to 23:00 Sunday to Thursday and to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and restaurants an hour later. By public transport, The Beach tells visitors to take the Metro to DMCC and the tram to JBR 1 or JBR 2.

Across the water on Bluewaters, Ain Dubai runs 10:00 to 21:00, last admission 20:15, with tickets from AED 145 (Ain Dubai Views). The rule that catches people out: bookings must be made at least 72 hours in advance, and no more than 45 days ahead, so this is the one stop of the two days to book before you fly.

AED 385 per adult, plus Metro, tram and taxi fares, and the AED 5 Zabeel Park entry if it applies. That total is our arithmetic; each figure in it is the operator’s own. Add the aquarium on day one (Silver pass AED 199) and it is AED 584. Every attraction price on this site.

What can break a two-day plan

Ain Dubai’s 72-hour rule — you cannot buy on the day. Sunday mornings: RTA’s published Metro station hours start at 08:00 on Sunday, against 05:00 on other days. The Palm Monorail is suspended “until further notice due to maintenance” on the operator’s own site, so a Palm detour needs a taxi. Seasons: Global Village opens Season 31 on 14 October 2026 and Dubai Safari Park reopened on 12 October; what is closed right now is the page to check the week you travel.
