Dubai with a 4, 5 or 6 year old: measured, not asked

This is the age band where a tape measure matters more than a birthday. Legoland publishes a ride-by-ride ladder at 80, 90, 95 and 105 centimetres. Aventura Parks starts at 1.05 m. Chaos Karts wants 1.30 m “to reach the pedals”. A tall four-year-old gets on things a short six-year-old does not, and no operator publishes the two rules side by side — so here they are.

The Legoland ladder, as published

Legoland Dubai minimum heights, from the operator’s own attractions chart
Minimum heightWhat it opens
No minimumDUPLO Valley — “No Minimum Height Restriction”
1 year oldBoating School — the one age-based ride minimum
80 cmSubmarine Adventure; DUPLO Express
90 cmLost Kingdom Adventure
95 cmRescue Academy; Kid Power Towers; City Airport
105 cmWave Racers; Merlin’s Flying Machine; LEGO Technic Twister; Beetle Bounce; Merlin’s Challenge

Legoland also publishes its intended audience plainly — “families with kids aged 2 – 12 years old” — which makes this band the centre of it, not the edge.

What else opens at this age, and what does not

Mohammed Bin Rashid Library “Children under 5 are not permitted”Barred until five
IMG Worlds Dinosaurium “Minimum 0.90m, maximum 1.25m”A rare maximum — they can be too tall

The IMG Dinosaurium rule is worth a second look: it is the only one in our set with a ceiling. A six-year-old over 1.25 m is turned away from an attraction their four-year-old sibling can use.

What IMG Worlds does not publish

Every relevant page on the IMG Worlds site — park rules, park information, FAQs, ticketing, terms — serves nothing readable without JavaScript. We hold no published free-entry age, no supervision rule and no stroller policy from that operator, and we are not going to supply them from anywhere else. The Dinosaurium figures above come from the venue data we already verified. Treat everything else about IMG and children as unpublished until someone opens it in a browser.

What a day costs at this age

The child rate is where the money is. The full child-versus- adult comparison is here; the short version is that a child ticket saves between nothing and about half, depending entirely on where you go, and several operators publish no child rate at all. Municipal parks are the cheap end — AED 3 to 5, published nowhere but at the kiosk.
