Dubai with a toddler: the age band where free entry ends
Between two and three, a child crosses almost every free-entry line in the city — and they are not the same line. Aquaventure stops at 2, Burj Khalifa and Global Village at 3, KidZania charges a toddler fare from 2. This is also the first age at which height starts replacing age as the rule: Legoland’s Boating School wants a minimum of one year, its rides want 80 cm.

Several operators publish that proof of age may be demanded at the gate — Legoland (“please bring proof of age”) and Miracle Garden (“A government-issued photo ID may be required”). For a child who has no passport photo of their own on you, that is worth knowing before you queue.
Where a toddler is designed for, in the operator’s words
- OliOli publishes a “dedicated Toddler Gallery for our youngest explorers (under 2)”, and describes itself as “designed for curious children of all ages”.
- Legoland Dubai states its target band outright: “Both Parks are specifically designed for families with kids aged 2 – 12 years old, however we welcome guests of all ages”. Its DUPLO Valley has “No Minimum Height Restriction”, and the Boating School has a floor of 1 year old — the only ride in our set with an age minimum measured in single years.
- KidZania is explicit that the main experience is not for this age: “most activities are suited to children aged 4-16”, with role-play from 2.
- Ski Dubai admits from 2, accompanied — and publishes three different upper bounds for that rule on its own site, covered below.
The supervision rules, and where they contradict
Every operator publishes an accompaniment rule and no two are the same. Ski Dubai publishes three, on its own pages: “Guests between ages 2-13 must be accompanied by an adult” on the Snow Park page, “2-14” in the Family and Friends section of the same page, and “2-15” on the Slope page. We are not going to pick one.

The city-wide picture is on the children page: Dubai Municipality requires operators to post their own thresholds rather than setting one, which is exactly why these nine rules are nine different rules.
Pushchairs, and the one that costs money
Global Village hires a “Baby Cart” from AED 15 — the only pram hire in our set with a published price. Legoland, Dubai Safari Park and The Dubai Mall all publish that strollers are available and none publishes what they cost. Burj Khalifa and Dubai Frame will not take one inside at all. Global Village also publishes something worth reading before you lose sight of a toddler: unaccompanied children are taken to the Lost Explorers Area, and “A service fee will be charged for the duration of the child’s stay”.
