Dubai for two, and the rules each venue attaches
Most romantic-Dubai lists are a set of names. The part that decides your evening is not the name — it is the dress code, the minimum age and the last entry, and those are published far more often than prices are. Below is what each venue actually states, with the price where one exists and a plain “not published” where it does not.
The free evening, in order
The best-known romantic thing in Dubai costs nothing. Emaar publishes the Dubai Fountain shows as 18:00 to 23:00 daily at 30-minute intervals and states plainly that you can “enjoy Dubai Fountain free of charge from the promenade”. If you want to be closer, Emaar sells the Boardwalk at AED 25 and the Lake Ride, a wooden abra across Burj Lake, at AED 75; both run 17:45–22:45.
Around it, Souk Al Bahar and Time Out Market both face the lake, and Souk Madinat Jumeirah publishes its own split hours: shops 10:00–23:00, restaurants 08:00–02:00. Those three extra hours are why a late dinner there works and late shopping does not.

The pattern is consistent enough to plan around: restaurants publish, hotel “experiences” do not. If the price matters to you, pick from the first group.

One Dubai operator publishes proposal packages with prices on its own site, and it is Ain Dubai — AED 3,499, AED 6,799 and AED 9,499. Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Atlantis, The View, the Museum of the Future and Dubai Opera publish no proposal price at all. The two rules that end evenings
Dress code and public affection are the two places a Dubai evening goes wrong, and both are published. Venues state their own dress codes — Burj Al Arab’s is “Smart elegant” — and the city-wide expectations are set out separately. On public affection, Global Village publishes the rule in as many words: “Avoid public display of affection.” That is a venue rule, not our advice, and it is typical rather than unusual. Late, and after the Metro stops
RTA publishes Metro station hours ending at midnight Monday to Thursday and Saturday, 01:00 on Friday, and Sunday service does not start until 08:00. A dinner that runs to 23:30 in Downtown is fine; the same dinner on a Sunday when you planned an early-morning Metro back is not. What stays open after dark, hour by hour.
