Dubai parking fine checker
Dubai publishes two parking fine schedules, and the same offence can cost AED 150 in one and AED 1,000 in the other. Which applies depends on where you parked, not on what you did.

The AED 850 difference
Parking without paying costs AED 150 at the roadside. In a parking lot the same act can be treated as “evading payment” and charged at AED 1,000. Nothing published explains when the harsher reading applies, and nothing published warns a driver at the point of parking that they have moved between two fine regimes.
Overstaying is the same shape: AED 100 at the roadside, AED 500 in a lot. The offences that are equal in both — the accessible-bay and reserved-space fines, both AED 1,000 — are the ones where the amount is clearly deliberate. The full schedules, the zones and the free windows.

Common questions
How much is a parking fine in Dubai?
It depends on the offence and on whether you were at the roadside or in a parking lot, because two separate schedules are published. Parking without a valid ticket is AED 150 at the roadside and up to AED 1,000 in a lot. Parking in a People of Determination bay without a permit is AED 1,000 in both.
Is parking free in Dubai on Sundays?
The parking operator publishes that Sundays are free all day and that parking is free between 22:00 and 08:00. The Dubai government portal describes the same overnight window from the other direction and does not mention public holidays at all, while the operator says they are free. Both statements are official.
What happens if I lose my parking ticket in Dubai?
The parking-lot schedule publishes AED 150 for a lost ticket or card. No equivalent figure is published for roadside parking, which does not use a physical ticket in the same way.
